Fort Smith Officers (2008-2009)

Rick Hundley, President
The President serves as the Chief Excecutive Officer of the Club and the Board of Directors and presides at all Club meetings. He or she supervises the fiscal activities of the Club and in tandem with one or more other officers, signs all written contracts and obligations of the Club that must have prior approval from the Board of Directors. The President determines the time and locaion of board meetings. Presidents must communicate regularly with the officers and board, seeking cooperation and advice in deciding Club matters.

The President should act as a liaison between the Club, the Tenth District and AAf National. He or She represents the Club at the Tenth District Convention, at the Tenth District Leadership Conferences and the National AAF Conference.

Lea Taylor, 1st Vice President
The 1st Vice President serves on the Board of Directors as a liaison berween the President the Board and the committees assigned to the 1st Vice President by the Club's bylaws or by the President. In many Clubs the duties of Programs and the ADDY® Awards are assigned to the 1st Vice President. The 1st Vice President assists the President in all Club activities as the President directs. The 1st Vice President assumes the duties of the president in his or her absence from the Club and is expected to attend all Club meetings and functions.

The 1st Vice President is usually an AAF Tenth District Voting delegate so it's important that the 1st Vice President atted all Tenth District meetings. Information provided at District meetings will be of immense value when the 1st Vice President assumes the President's position.

Kevin Croxton, 2nd Vice President
The 2nd President serves on the Board of Directors as a liaison between the President, the Board and the committees assigned to the 2nd Vice President by the Club's bylaws or by the President. The 2nd Vice President assumes responsibility for oversight of commitiies including Membership.

Lorie Robertson, Secretary & Treasurer
The Secretary/Treasurer keeps minutes of all meetings of the Board of Directors and the Club, sending copies of these minutes to each Officer and Director no later than one month after said meeting. The Secretary/Treasurer is responsible for all Club mailings and records, and assists the president with correspondence or other duties as may be assigned by the President.

The Secretary/Treasurer collects dues from each member by the first month of the Club's fiscal year and makes a full financial report of all receipts and disbursements to the President and the Board of Directors at monthly Board meetings.

Jeromy Price & Jason Medlock - ADDY®
Committee Co-Chairs
The success of this major event is financially critical, as it represents one of the largest sources of revenue for the Club. Prudent management of expenses can bring the Club significant income. Most Clubs mail the call for entries in December, judging occurs in January and the ADDY® show is in February, with the winning entries sent to District by March.

Allison Foley, Immediate Past President
The Chairman of the Board sits on the Board of Directors, serving as a liaison between the President, the Board and various committees assigned to the Chairman of the Board by the bylaws or by the President. The Chairman of the Board is the chair of the Nominating Committee and often represents the Club President's Advisory Council (past presidents). The Chairman of the Board performs such other duties as assigned by the President.
